Should I do journalism?

I’m in 11th Grade and I have to start deciding what I want to do in the future. All my friends want to do business and economics (because it’s save they say, monthly regular salary and all that) and a lot of girls want to do medicine. Some guys want to do law. But I can’t stand maths and science tests get me sweating all the time. A lot of times just random stories pop into my head and I feel like I have to write them down. If I wanted to, I could write a 4000 word short story every 3 days, but homework and school keeps me busy. Basically, I love to write and read. I also like to check technology and video game news. Now that I have to decide on my career, should I go towards journalism? I love to write and I work well with deadlines. And I get generally positive reviews for the stuff that I posted online (the short stories).

Your education and your career are two different things. Only part of your education is work prep. Try to get the best of both.
You’re right about this: Homework and school keeps you busy. That’s the idea! But whose idea?
Hint: no one needs to pay journalists anymore, but it’s still good to be able to think and write.
