Download All Nintendo Roms

Do I have to delete my roms after 24 hours?
The legal system states that I may have a rom, I MUST have proof of purchase of the original ROM. And/Also If you don’t have proof then you must delete the ROM within 24 hours after downloading it.
This is what I’ve come to believe thus far after researching the law.
I just started using a N64 Emulator with a good load of roms downloaded from coolroms.com (allegedly safe site)
I tried reading a lot of forums and a lot of people delete there roms and just re-download it. It sounds a little crazy to me.
Technically I don’t see how Nintendo would track anybody just downloading the ROM (AND keeps it over 24 hours)
Whats the probability I will get in trouble keeping all my N64 Roms for over 24 hours and intends to keep them indefinitely?
I mean technically Nintendo if anything would go after the distributors; not the people who download right?!
Hmm… well, I use CoolRoms & DopeRoms, and the answer is…
NO.
You don’t need any proof of purchase if it’s hosted by a freeware sharing site, and you have no need to delete the rom – I’ve got an N64 Emulator & roms for it and they’ve been on my PC for quite a while, but I haven’t recieved a visit from the cops.
It’s perfectly fine so you can rest assured you’re doing nothing wrong and the law can do nothing to you for downloading them, so you should recieve no trouble. Nintendo can’t trace your download and they can do nothing about your “illegal” download – relax!
